Hello everyone,

Relay Carnival is this Wednesday, July 14th at Hayfield Farm Swim Club.  We 
will meet at our pool at 4:20 and leave no later than 4:30 because of the rush 
hour traffic.  If anyone needs a ride please let me know so I can make sure 
you get one.

I am suggesting an alternate route to the directions I put in your packets 
since the mixing bowl will mostly likely be a nightmare at rush hour.  So here 
they are:

Take the Fairfax County Parkway
Follow signs for the SPRINGFIELD FRANCONIA PARKWAY
Cross Beulah Road and continue past Hayfield Rd. (Hayfield Rd is under 
construction)
Continue to the second light after Hayfield and turn right onto KINGSTOWN 
VILLAGE PARKWAY.  
Stay in the left lane and turn left at the light onto Hayfield Road.
Hayfield pool is located at the end of Hayfield Road on the right.

I will have directions at the pool Wednesday afternoon.  I will also have the 
Weather Notes that the NVSL is providing.  Basically they state in the event 
of thunderstorms during the meet:

All spectarors, swimmers, coaches, and officials will go immediately to their 
cars.  A pool is one of the most dangerous places to be during a thunderstorm 
so decisions to clear the pool and half the meet will be made  without 
hestitation.  All attempts will be made to safely finish the meet Wednesday night.  
Generally there is a 15 minute wait between the last thunder or lightening 
strike and the continuation of the meet.  No one should leave the pool parking 
lot until hearing the official word on the meet's continuation.  You will be 
informed of any and all official decisions by Cathy or I.
