COMPAC


The Command-Organizational Maintenance Planning and Action Center (COMPAC)

COMPAC is a technique and procedure that a company command will use to insure effective coordination and accomplishment of maintenance. Reference VaARNG Regulation 750-1 Paragraph 4d.

Members of the COMPAC:

a. Executive Officer (XO)
b. Bn Maintenance Supervisor
c. Supply Sergeant
d. Armorer
e. Commo Platoon Sergeant
f. NBC NCO
g. Other as needed

Goal. The goal of the COMPAC is to reach and sustain a 90% Fully Mission Capable (FMC) rate on all equipment.

Agenda. Items to be discussed at each COMPAC meeting include the unit MASS, review of maintenance records, the current company maintenance readiness including NMC equipment, drill workplan, maintenance personnel utilization rate, status of ongoing work, review DA form 2404s - 5504s - 2406s - 5988-Es, MILs and MIBs, maintenance for the next two month's drills.

Meeting. The COMPAC meeting should be conducted monthly, either at the unit training meeting or during drill. It is suggested that the unit conduct a final COMPAC meeting at the end of each drill. The meetings are designated "initial" and "final" COMPAC meetings.
